Free Programs & Services

BCA, Inc. offers a variety of free programs and services designed to support local individuals navigating breast cancer. Funded by grants, donations, and community events, we provide crucial educational resources, emotional care, and practical survivorship essentials. Our programs relieve the pressures of daily tasks such as meal planning, childcare, and transportation, while also offering support for mental health challenges like anxiety and loneliness. We assist with early detection and help cover basic living expenses, ensuring that no one goes through breast cancer alone.

Support You
Can Rely On

We understand that cancer impacts more than just the body—it can disrupt your life and peace of mind. That’s why we’re here to walk alongside you, offering support beyond medical care. Having a compassionate community and access to essential resources can make all the difference in your journey toward healing and recovery.

Mammograms

BCA offers uninsured individuals the opportunity to receive a mammogram at no charge. If further follow-up testing is needed, BCA will cover the expenses for one ultrasound per year. Guidelines apply.

Moving Forward

Newly diagnosed individuals receive after-surgery information and supplies from a BCA staff person to aid in recovery from breast cancer surgery and treatments. These include a Breast Cancer Treatment Handbook, an after-surgery heart pillow, a Cuddl Duds camisole for radiation patients, and post-surgical bras. This support aims to assist in their recovery journey.

Dinner’s Ready Gift Cards

Restaurant and grocery store gift cards are given to breast cancer patients while they are going through chemotherapy and radiation treatments. By alleviating some of the burdens of daily life, we hope to offer comfort and nourishment to those bravely battling breast cancer.

Special Needs Program

The Special Needs Assistance Program is designed to help those impacted by breast cancer while in active treatment. Assistance can be provided for basic living expenses, such as mortgage, rent, utility bills, etc. (Guidelines apply.)

For Our Kids Program

This program caters to the children of newly diagnosed breast cancer patients by providing age-specific care packages. Each child receives items like a teddy bear, coloring sheets, and a book about their parent’s diagnosis. These packages aim to open up communication within the family and help the child better understand their parent’s diagnosis.

Monthly Support Group

Sessions allow patients and their families to share stories, concerns, and questions. Our support group meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 6PM. Click here to check all BCA upcoming events.
